Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking a motivated, energetic, and innovative Information Technology Assistant to join our award-winning engineering design and consulting firm. The candidate must be a self-starter willing to grow with our company. Applicant must be adaptable, and willing to work in a performance and deadline-driven environment and in a team setting. Training will be made available for specific duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer workstations, printers, peripherals, phones, software deployment, servers, security updates and patches.
- Maintain records of accounts, software licensing, and company devices.
- Provide assistance in the use of company hardware, software, and specialized technology.
- Manage, backup, remove, and archive company data.
- Maintain IT inventory and workstations.
- Consult with users, management, third-party vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
- Create/record standard operating procedures for the IT department and users within the organization.
- Evaluate the organization’s technology and user needs to recommend improvements.
- Research and test various hardware and software before implementation.
- Assist in the discovery, research, and resolution of technical issues.
- Troubleshoot PC, website, and other company software issues.
- Oversee time-lapse video projects at construction sites.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Minimum of 2-year degree in Information Technology
- Proficiency with Windows
- Proficiency with Cisco Products and Vmware
- Ability to multitask and carry out projects with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with staff at all levels
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
