A full-service intellectual property law firm is looking for an IP Client Specialist for their DC office.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience patent prosecution with a multi-office law firm
- Ability to coordinate time entry and invoicing with billing coordinators
- BA degree and paralegal certificate
- Must live in the DC area
- Preference for contract-to-hire, open to direct hire
- MUST be familiar with electronic case management and USPTO rules
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage filing of design patent, and utility patent applications in the United States
- Review correspondence from USPTO for docketing
- MUST be able to jump in and work independently without much supervision
- Open files and prepare documents for filing:
- Patent applications, Preliminary Amendments, Information Disclosure Statements, Responses to Missing Parts, Assignments, Amendments, payments of Issue Fees
- Maintain client portfolios
Salary: $80-$100k/yr.
