Job Description:
Phoenix Pro Connect is representing a global company that is currently seeking a Senior Data Architect. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and supporting the corporate master data program, with a focus on operational, customer, revenue, and vendor data domains. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in data architecture, data governance, and data integrity within a large enterprise setting, with particular expertise in inventory management and data warehousing. This is a hybrid role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the organization's data strategy, aligning with key business processes.
- Manage and improve master data management for operational efficiency and high-integrity reporting.
- Lead the design and implementation of data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring quality, consistency, and data security.
- Oversee data governance policies and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to design technical solutions that align with business goals.
- Mentor junior data architects and data engineers, fostering a strong team environment.
- Manage and prioritize data architecture projects to stay within budget and timelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in data architecture or a related field (data engineering, data warehousing).
- Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions.
- Experience in a retail industry environment with a focus on inventory management.
- Leadership experience managing and mentoring data teams.
- Expertise in data modeling techniques (both logical and physical), and proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
- Proficiency in data integration and ETL/ELT tools, such as AWS Glue.
- Strong understanding of data governance and data security frameworks.
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data challenges.
