Role: Insurance Follow-up Representative
Duration: 6 Month Contract – possibility of conversion/extension
Shift: Onsite M-F: 8-4, 8:30-4:30, 9-5, ability to turn hybrid after being with the company for 1 year
- Availability to volunteer for OT weekend shifts if meeting expectations
Location: 101 E Post Rd White Plains, NY
Pay Rate: $24-30/hr
Must-Haves:
- 2-5 years of experience in patient accounting/insurance follow up in a hospital setting
- Proven experience of claims follow-up and resolving outstanding accounts
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with an EMR System – EPIC preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency with Microsoft office/excel – specifically utilizing Pivots and vlookup
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking two insurance follow-up representatives to join the patient accounts team at a top hospital system in White Plains, NY. While adhering to WPH performance standards and policies, this role will involve initiating follow-ups with third-party payers on outstanding accounts, promptly reviewing, and responding to insurance correspondence, and providing necessary billing information for claim adjudication. This person must ensure appropriate payments are received per contract terms, reports trends, and will collaborate with denials and variance teams for accurate and timely payments. Responsibilities include collecting and managing accounts, following up with insurance companies, reconciling accounts, filing corrected claims, and appealing claims when necessary. Additionally, this position involves completed assigned projects, meeting productivity measures and performing other related duties as needed.
