Job Description:
We Search People are partnering with a dynamic and innovative General Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering premium commercial projects. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage on-site construction activities for large-scale commercial builds. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards from start to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise all aspects of on-site construction, ensuring work is completed according to specifications, budget, and schedule.
- Lead the daily operations on-site, including coordinating subcontractors, resolving field issues, and maintaining project momentum.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, conducting routine site inspections to monitor safety, quality, and productivity.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Review blueprints, project plans, and schedules to ensure smooth and accurate workflow.
- Maintain consistent reporting on progress, safety incidents, and potential delays, ensuring senior management is kept informed.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a track record of successfully delivered projects.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and subcontractors simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of construction safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Experience using construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is advantageous.
