Position Summary:
Stonehenge is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join a new SBA lending platform as a Director of Loan Operations – SBA 7 (a) Lending. This position will be responsible for gathering and organizing information that supports new loan closings and post funding activities. You will also coordinate daily activities and functions of loan closing and servicing, and serve in a supporting role, guiding small business owners through the SBA loan application process. Your goal will be to provide exceptional service and ensure that our clients receive timely and efficient loan approvals.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated SBA Director of Loan Operations to join our team and help our clients access the capital they need to grow and succeed.
Responsibilities Include:
Application Management: Interacts with customers to assist in collecting necessary information for loan closing and servicing. Prepare SBA application documents and submission to SBA for approval (GP and PLP submission). Prepare SBA Terms and Conditions based on approval.
Compliance: Requests, collects, and reviews documents required for closing; Prepares and maintains credit files through to loan closing. Assist in requesting and conducting background searches for new loan origination. Ensure that all loan applications and processes comply with SBA regulations and company policies.
Loan Closing: Works closely with escrow, title, marketing and loan administration personnel to ensure timely and efficient loan closing and post-funding follow-up.
Operational Support: Assists in operational duties of the department, including secondary market sales and packaging; tickler maintenance and payment of referral fees and associates vendors, i.e. appraisal, environmental and title fees, etc.
Portfolio Monitoring: Prepares various monthly reports, including but not limited to, SBA 1502, Portfolio report, Past-Due report, among others.
Processing and Follow-Up: Manage the loan application process, including coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring timely progress from application to approval. Communicates clear reasons for denial in a timely manner to applicants when their loan request has been denied.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout the loan process.
Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, SBA loan programs, and competitive products to effectively advise clients and adapt to changing market conditions.
Teamwork: Works alongside lending support teams to maintain a high quality of work and efficiency in operations to ensure approved loans are originated.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., Certified SBA Loan Specialist) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SBA 7(a) lending.

This position will be based in Dallas or Columbus, Ohio
