Director, Social Media Analytics
Position Overview
Our client, a major player in the retail/CPG space, is looking for a full time Director of Social Media Analytics. The Director of Social Media Analytics will lead the social media analysis team, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance social media marketing strategies and improve engagement across various platforms. This role will focus on the integration of machine learning and data analytics to optimize social media performance and drive impactful recommendations and results.
This position requires 3 days on site in Needham, MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the social media analysis team to deliver high-quality insights and recommendations.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance social media engagement and reach.
- Utilize machine learning techniques to analyze social media metrics and improve campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with marketing and technology teams to align social media efforts with overall business objectives.
- Conduct thorough data exploration and visualization to uncover trends and insights from social media data.
- Monitor and report on social media performance using advanced analytics, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging social media platforms and trends, ensuring our strategies remain competitive.
- Foster a culture of communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Science or Analytics, 3+ years of experience in management roles
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Proven experience in social media analysis and strategy development.
- Strong understanding of machine learning, data analysis, and data visualization techniques.
- Proficiency in software such as PowerBI, Tableau and programming languages (Python, SQL).
- Experience with social media platforms and metrics analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align social media strategies with company goals.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
