DSI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full-time 3D CAD Operator proficient in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks software to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in creating, modifying, and optimizing 3D models and technical drawings for our diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, sales, planners, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor software to create 3D models and technical drawings.
- Conduct design modifications and optimizations to enhance functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and internal quality control guidelines.
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of designs for potential errors, interferences, or conflicts, proposing suitable solutions as necessary.
- Maintain well-organized files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference purposes.
- Utilize Engineering Schedule to manage workload.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD techniques, software updates, and industry trends to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a 3D CAD Operator, preferably working with Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks software.
- Proficiency in creating 3D models, technical drawings, and assemblies.
- Proven experience with Autodesk Vault.
- 3+ years of experience in a metals fabrication manufacturing environment preferred
- Preferred experience given designing weld fixtures and jigs.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve design issues effectively.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for CAD modeling and drafting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate ideas and solutions.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing project requirements.
- Experience with other CAD software or design tools will be considered a plus.
- Epicor experience a plus, but not required.
