About the Role:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team on the production floor. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing production operators to meet and exceed business goals. This role requires a leader who can manage production output, optimize performance, ensure safety and quality standards, and maintain a clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met, with a minimum of 41.5 KL of product per shift.
- Oversee the replacement of Filter Mags during production (minimum 40 per shift).
- Plan and establish work schedules, ensuring the achievement of production goals, including meeting overtime targets.
- Monitor overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to ensure 85% or higher efficiency.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment, ensuring employees adhere to safety standards, including proper PPE usage and safe forklift driving.
- Monitor and analyze production charts, schedules, and outputs to ensure alignment with production requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations, recommend training, and handle disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
Personnel Management:
- Manage workflow, create team schedules, and delegate tasks to meet production objectives.
- Train new employees on equipment operations and safety procedures.
- Assess employee performance, set goals, and provide feedback.
- Handle employee discipline and termination in coordination with HR policies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a production environment.
- Lean manufacturing experience is required.
- Proficient in Excel and knowledge of QAD or other systems is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment and implement cost-saving processes.
