About the Role:
The Level 3 Telecommunication Technician will serve as a lead technician, requiring prior experience in a similar role. This position involves extensive travel and on-site work.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate telecommunication projects in the field.
- Comprehend and apply Central Office installation standards, including Telcordia GR-1275 and Verizon IP72202.
- Read and interpret floor plans, rack diagrams, and customer work orders.
- Plan and manage high-risk activities, including fiber integrations and hot cuts.
- Safely operate hand and power tools and maintain assigned tool inventory.
- Conduct daily Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and document discussions.
- Adhere to company safety policies and incident reporting procedures.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DC Power and capability to perform hot cuts as needed.
- Central office Installation experience.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Excellent time-management and multitasking skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Capacity to travel in a vehicle for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Must be able to traverse job sites, including walking and climbing.
- Ability to work at heights and handle ladders.
