Your opportunity
- Take the lead in ensuring that the Vendor Management Office (VMO) continues to demonstrate ongoing compliance with regards to the external regulatory environment (such as DORA). These external factors heavily influence the VMO’s vendor oversight efforts and continue to result in a growing function in both scale and complexity. The successful candidate will be eager to support the implementation of key deliverables under this critical activity.
- Assist in maintaining and leading the vendor management risk review and performance management schedules.
- Oversee and maintain the VMO’s internal database of vendor information, including (but not limited to): profile; services; spend; and other notable contract information.
- Facilitate vendor risk oversight reviews by collaborating with internal risk groups and vendor contacts.
- Effectively liaise and partner with internal leaders to ensure alignment regarding the VMO’s programmed requirements, strategic processes and ongoing objectives.
- Supervise and report metrics for vendor performance, risk levels and external industry factors in accordance with global regulations and best practice methodologies.
- Partner with stakeholders to provide insightful commercial analysis regarding Janus Henderson’s critical vendors.
- Assist in maintaining and evolving the VMO’s framework for vendor ESG oversight, reporting and risk mitigation.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills
- At least two years of experience in vendor management and/or procurement.
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Highly organized, with the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with working in a highly regulated environment, including experience in demonstrating compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience in managing vendors (ideally within the financial industry).
- Prior contract or management of service level agreements experience.
- Ability to work with, and build, relationships with various individuals at all levels of the company.
- Ability to coordinate projects encompassing multiple departments and individuals.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoys working in both a close team environment and autonomously.
- Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to build and analyze reports focusing on multi-year trends.
- Takes a proactive approach to their work.
Nice to have skills
- MBA or higher level education certificate.
- Familiarity with basic ESG terminology and principles.
- Proficient in Power BI.

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $70,000-80,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will be posted through October 25, 2024.
Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
