Job Purpose:
Brookstone Capital Management, a rapidly growing national Financial Services firm with over $10B in Assets Under Management (AUM) and 700 affiliated Investment Advisers in all 50 states, seeks a Director of Operations with strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, positive, high-energy, and collaborative individual who is able to create & lead a high-performing and efficient Operations team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create/Lead a high-performing and efficient Operations team
- Develop, implement, and enforce effective business Operational procedures
- Monitor day-to-day operations and proactively implement necessary changes to business processes, systems, and organizational capabilities
- Provide insights into the operational workflows to ensure maximum and efficient use of the firm's resources
- Attract, retain, and develop high-performing associates
- Build and maintain relationships with Executive leaders, internal departments, and external resource providers
- Work with other leaders throughout the organization to help drive a positive culture of accountability amongst team members
- Provide ongoing reporting to the firm’s Executive leadership team
- Respond to Advisor issues with care and support
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree and/or designations preferred
- 10+ years of relevant Financial Services Operational Leadership experience
- Experience managing Processing, Trading, or Service teams in a Front, Middle, or Back Office function in a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), B/D, or other Financial Services firm
- Ability to be innovative and drive results both as an individual and as part of a team
- Ability to deal effectively with personnel and create accountability
- Ability to understand the business priorities and apply them to the team goals
- Detail-oriented with strong decision-making and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment prioritizing effectively and meeting deadlines
- Strong Leadership with a successful record of previous management of an Operations team
- Process Improvement mindset and experience
- Six Sigma or Lean process experience a plus
