Position: Buyer
Location: Beaverton, OR.
Compensation: $65-85K

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Buyer to manage product procurement, ensuring alignment with inventory requirements and sales forecasts. This role involves nurturing vendor relationships and collaborating closely with the Key Account Sales Manager team to explore and onboard new supplier accounts. A successful candidate will excel in negotiation and communication, both with external vendors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the sales team and brand representatives to oversee purchasing for a range of products (e.g., Robotics, Lighting, Communications devices, Home Security devices, and more...)
- Oversee the logistics for product arrivals at the warehouse, including managing large-scale purchase orders.
- Negotiate contractual terms and modify agreements as needed.
- Address inventory issues, such as missing pallets, by collaborating with vendors to find solutions.
- Coordinate with the accounting team on invoicing and resolving any discrepancies.
- Use MS Dynamics and Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) to track SKU numbers and box measurements.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of purchasing experience, specifically in retail buying.
- Experience purchasing finished goods for resale; internal procurement experience is not preferred.
- Familiarity with working with big box retailers such as Target, Walmart, Costco and others, ideally in the supply chain industry.
- Mandarin language skills are a plus, but not required, as there are many Chinese vendors.
- Self-starter mentality; comfortable seeking guidance and asking questions.
