Overview: Our client is seeking well-qualified Interim Bank Regulatory Counsel (Prudential) for a long-term consulting opportunity.
Company: Our client is a global financial institution.
Experience: Candidates should have at least five years of experience focusing on core bank regulations.
Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities Include:
The Interim Bank Regulatory Counsel (Prudential) will assist the team with policy work, attend trade association calls, and prepare first-draft comment letters and summaries. The Interim Bank Regulatory Counsel (Prudential) will be the primary legal expert on many complex, prudential regulatory areas such as liquidity, capital, tress testing regulations and enhancing prudential standards. Candidates need to be proficient with OCC and FED regulations and requirements, including regulations W, K, O, and Y. Our client is not focusing on consumer protection or AML/KYC compliance for this position.
Qualifications Include:
- J.D. or LL.M. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the United States;
- Candidates should have proven experience with core bank regulations;
- Ability to read, understand, comprehend, and communicate clearly about laws, regulations, rulings, and interpretive guidance; and
- Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with internal clients, external counsel, and government agency officials.
