ABB is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Legal & Integrity team, supporting the Process Automation Process Industries Pulp and Paper Business Line. This role will serve as a strategic business partner while maintaining an independent legal position, focusing on high-quality service, customer needs, and the company’s best interest. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in contract law, ideally in a manufacturing setting, with strong skills in drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers.
- Develop contract strategies considering risk, pricing, scope, and schedule.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, HR, supply chain) and provide legal guidance.
- Manage contractual claims and disputes, working with external counsel when necessary.
- Provide training on contract standards and legal issues, ensuring compliance with ABB policies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and member of a U.S. State Bar.
- 3-5 years of contract law experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
