HIL (Hardware in the loop) Test Engineer

What you will be doing:
- Expertise in writing Software test strategies/plans, test specifications, cases and suites in compliance with requirements and industry standards (ASpice/ISO26262), and conduct HIL (Hardware in the loop) testing.
- Strong experience in designing automated regression testing frameworks to efficiently execute software and systems test plans.
- Prior lead engineering experience in drafting system schematics, system architecture and electrical and electronic specifications requirements for electronic control units and test systems (HIL).
- Prior experience in leading systems and software testing for automotive applications (preferably braking systems).
- Strong expertise in writing technical documentation and user manual, with a prior experience in using ALM tools (Polarion, Doors, Jira, Git, etc.)
- Prior experience in leading technicians and junior engineers in designing and deploying harnesses for test systems, from software integration to vehicle level validation activities.
- Strong experience in performing V&V activities for SW-SYS phases in compliance to ASPICE and ISO26262.
- Strong experience in testing software for production electronic control units for functional and non-functional requirements with a solid understanding of IOs, CAN protocols, power supply requirements, startup, diagnostics and shut down routines.
- Working experience in automotive tools and communication bus systems and protocols (VectorCast, Vector Canape, CANalyzer/CANoe, CANdela Studio, Typhoon, dSPACE, Automation Desk, Synect)
- Prior experience in using multiple HIL systems (dSpace, Speedgoat, Typhoon, Vector, etc.) and in evaluating the HIL systems in compliance to systems and software requirements.
- Prior experience in configuring and commissioning HIL systems while working with external vendors.
- Solid experience in software development toolchain (MATLAB/Simulink, C, etc.) with an ability to develop software or models for testing.
- Solid understanding of failure and risk management principles and their application to systems and software testing.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
- Expertise in writing Software test strategies/plans, test specifications, cases and suites in compliance with requirements and industry standards (ASpice/ISO26262), and conduct HIL (Hardware in the loop) testing.
- Strong experience in designing automated regression testing frameworks to efficiently execute software and systems test plans.

- Prior experience in leading systems and software testing for automotive applications (preferably braking systems).
