TTCA Job Description for Principal Process Engineer Lithography and Patterning
Position Summary:
As a Principal Process Engineer, you will play a leading role in TEL exploring and developing advanced EUV patterning solutions and innovative hardware technology. A deep understanding of the relationships between process, materials, structures, and patterning performance is ideal. Hands-on experience in semiconductor process environments is preferred. A passionate drive, a curious mind and a collaborative spirit are expected.

Required Skills:
- Experience in advanced EUV Lithographic processes for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of and experience working with photoresist chemistries.
- Demonstrated understanding of measurement techniques used to characterize chemical, physical and electrical properties of materials, with demonstrated experience in at least one technique.
- Working understanding of the relationship between a device’s design, material composition and its functional behavior.
- Enjoys working in team-oriented, diverse and collaborative environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively to define the process evaluations and modify the process flow as needed to achieve needed results.
- Be able to work in clean room environment including operation of lithography and metrology equipment. This includes but is not limited to ASML scanners, coater/developer tracks, CD-SEM, X-SEM, and thin film measurement tools.
- Work collaboratively in Joint development environments with partners and customers.
- Interface with unit process engineers on process flows and drive process improvements to meet structural and electrical targets.
- Define project plans that will take the process from inception to execution on Si wafer.
- Build the flows in a semiconductor MES system such as SiView.
- Manage the logistics of moving wafers between multiple locations both within the company and with partners and customers.
- Design experiments and analyze data using proper statistical methods
- Understand and analyze both inline and electrical test data.
- Be able to present projects plans and results at both a technical and executive level.
- Drive generation of IP. IP disclosure filings as well as publication papers and conference proceedings are expected of this position.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science with research experience preferred.
- 10+ years experience as a research professional in the semiconductor industry.
- Extensive experience including a demonstrable track record (e.g., via patents, publications, and industry recognition) in advanced patterning and lithography.
- Hands on experience in patterning, cleans, physical and electrical test vehicles and measurement techniques.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- 15% travel required for internal and external meetings.
- Experience with Japanese business culture is a plus.
