Technology company based in Redwood City, CA has an immediate opening for a Privacy Program Manager to support compliance initiatives related to global data privacy laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate possesses the ability to document and organize process requirements, roadmaps, deliverables, task owners and timelines in a fast-paced environment. A successful Privacy Program Manager will thrive on taking ownership of projects and are deeply passionate about cross-functional project management, high level thinking, and on the ground execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with privacy counsel to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive privacy compliance programs and policies, including creation and updating of process documentation and operationalizing privacy controls.
- Advise on and potentially contribute to several aspects of privacy compliance programs and policies, including data subject access request (DSAR) and deletion (RTBF) request fulfillment and automation, data mapping, web tracking (cookie, etc.) compliance, privacy impact assessment deployment and completion.
- Focus on logistics of DSAR and RTBF compliance processes, such as:
- Onboarding central and specific teams to DSAR and RTBF processes;
- Preparation of DSAR report templates to determine scope and content;
- Automation enhancements; and
- Monitor DSAR and RTBF processes; work with technical partners to resolve errors.
- Draft responses and/or collaborate in responding to player questions addressed to Data Protection Officer.
- Collaborate with legal and non-legal stakeholders on enterprise data governance initiatives.
- Work on other compliance matters, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Substantial experience as a privacy program manager.
- Strong foundation of knowledge in: privacy frameworks and laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), privacy by design principles, data minimization, and data protection capabilities, and Information technology (including technical architecture of enterprise systems)
- Familiarity with privacy and data management platforms (such as OneTrust, TrustArc).
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in privacy and/or program management, such as: CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPP/M, PMP.
