Position: Network Operations (NOC) Technician / Engineer (Night-Shift) role

Job Overview:
The Senior NOC Technician is responsible for overseeing the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the company’s network and IT systems. This role requires advanced technical knowledge and experience in network and systems operations. The Senior NOC Technician is expected to respond to network incidents, identify issues, and coordinate resolutions in a timely manner while ensuring minimal disruption to services. They also mentor junior technicians and collaborate with other teams to maintain network uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network systems, servers, and infrastructure through specialized tools to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Incident Response: Respond quickly to network incidents, alerts, and outages, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Escalation: Escalate critical issues to senior engineers, management, or vendors as required and coordinate resolution efforts.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose network, server, and hardware issues, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and other infrastructure components.
Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of network events, incidents, resolutions, and system performance for future reference.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior NOC technicians and assist with onboarding and training as needed.
Automation & Improvement: Assist in developing scripts or processes to automate routine tasks and improve network efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and network teams to address issues, implement changes, and deploy new systems.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on network health, incidents, and performance for senior management.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 5+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a senior NOC role.
Certifications: Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar are preferred.
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, etc.).
Proficiency in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix.
Experience with network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automating tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of NVIDIA reference architecture and design principles
Experience with operational support of GPU based High-Performance Architecture
Experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, or VPN technologies.
Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and processes.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
