Opportunity available for a Senior Business Systems Analyst. In this exciting role you will be responsible for the translation of business needs into effective technical solutions by determining the requirements of medium to large projects, and communicating clearly to all stakeholders, and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with business stakeholders to understand and evaluate current business processes and identify complex business problems and needs turning those needs into system requirements.
- Define project scope and objectives, documenting business requirements, and creating use cases, and user stories
- Perform cost-benefits and return on investment (ROI) analyses for proposed systems
- Evaluate existing systems through gap analysis, developing viable alternative solutions by working closely with project partners to align designs that enable the achievement of strategic business outcomes
- Assess system and error trends to identify and resolve defects in the production environment and provide recommendations to prevent future incidents
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and prepare user documentation for projects, system fixes and enhancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Experience with design thinking and prototyping
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices
- Life Insurance Industry experience
