Job Description:
- We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions for various initiatives within the company. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Work on modernizing and reducing risks in Perl ecosystem by designing, developing and deploying appropriate changes including uplifts to modernized software stack and decommission.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code that follows industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct testing to ensure software quality and functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in software development and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software engineering practices.
Skills: Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Perl, Python Experience working in a Unix operating system and shell scripts Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Experience with software development tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience working with certificates, encryption and cyber security Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and critically.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with financial services and/or capital markets is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
