TRC’s client is a prominent leader in commercial construction and general contracting, seeking an experienced Bridge Construction Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Eastern NC.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Bridge Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee all phases of bridge construction projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will manage project planning, execution, budget control, quality management, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Oversee all phases of bridge construction, from preliminary design and engineering to construction and final handover.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contractual requirements.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members to ensure effective collaboration.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value optimization.
- Track expenses and prepare financial reports to maintain budget adherence.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
- Maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates on progress and addressing concerns.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to local, state, and federal safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits for environmental and safety compliance.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks related to project delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards.
- Develop contingency plans to proactively manage potential disruptions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure construction meets specified quality standards and client expectations.
- Implement quality control processes and collaborate with QA/QC teams to address issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of project management experience, focusing on bridge or heavy civil construction.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure or bridge projects.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and budgeting tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction regulations and safety standards.
