Adams & Martin Group is working with a mid-sized Newport Beach law firm that is seeking to hire a Legal Biller for their firm. The firm has a very strong benefits package and offers a competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately compile and bill attorney hours to clients on a monthly basis.
- Review and edit pre-bills in response to attorney and staff feedback.
- Upload pre-bills into various e-billing platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the firm's billing cycle and processes.
- Efficiently manage complex billing tasks, including applying multiple discounts, split-party billing, and electronic bill preparation.
- Handle a high volume of billing transactions each month with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify the accuracy of billing information and any supporting documentation as needed.
- Research and address client inquiries or issues related to billing.
- Assist in preparing billing reports and analyses as requested.
- Finalize and print client invoices.
- Update and maintain billing sub-ledger spreadsheets.
- Apply the firm's billing policies and guidelines effectively.
- Utilize various software programs, including e-billing systems, SharePoint, Aderant, DMS, and Microsoft Excel/Word, to perform daily tasks.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and copying.
- Provide support to the accounting and finance team on special projects and assignments as needed.
