LHH is seeking a logistics candidate for a Cargowise System Support Assistant Manager position onsite near Long Beach, CA at a freight brokerage company. This is a direct hire role paying up to $80,000/year depending on experience.
This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the Cargowise system is effectively utilized across various departments, addressing their needs and enhancing their operational efficiency.
Key aspects: Cargowise experience in operations (systems support), import AND export, trucking, brokerage, business management.
Strong experience with Excel formulas is required- test will be administered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with different departments to identify their needs and challenges related to the Cargowise system.
- Work with the support team to develop solutions and enhancements for the Cargowise system.
- Train end users on best practices for utilizing Cargowise to optimize their operations.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in partnership with various departments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot the Cargowise system, ensuring seamless operation and user support.
- Utilize knowledge of logistics operations, including import/export, trucking, and customs brokerage, to inform system development and training.
- Assist with printer, server, and network configuration as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business or management, preferably in a logistics or operations environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, including import/export and customs brokerage.
- Familiarity with Cargowise or similar logistics management systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various departments.
- Ability to develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end users.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (an Excel test will be administered).
- Knowledge of printer/server/network configuration is a plus.
