Job Overview:
The Creative Director at Jordan Valley Community Health Center (JVCHC) will be the driving force behind the organization’s brand identity, communication strategies, and creative content development. This role will ensure that all visual, written, and digital communication aligns with JVCHC's mission, vision, and values, enhancing engagement with patients, partners, and the community. The Creative Director will oversee a multidisciplinary creative team, including graphic designers, multimedia specialists, copywriters, and content creators, and work collaboratively with departmental leadership to develop innovative, impactful campaigns. The goal of the Creative Director is to craft compelling narratives and visual stories that reflect JVCHC’s commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare services to underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously develop and maintain a consistent brand identity for JVCHC, ensuring all materials—from digital platforms to printed brochures—adhere to brand guidelines.
- Lead the creative strategy JVCHC campaigns that align with JVCHC’s goals, culture, and evolving role within the community.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that branding is reflective of the organization’s values, particularly in highlighting JVCHC’s work with diverse and underserved populations.
- Support the execution of a comprehensive creative strategy, including patient education materials, digital campaigns, internal communications, and social media.
- Oversee the creation of marketing collateral which may include print, digital, signage, item, and environmental brand design.
- Ensure that all communications are culturally relevant, inclusive, and sensitive to the diverse populations JVCHC serves.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of creatives, including designers, writers, videographers, and freelancers, to produce high-quality content that supports JVCHC’s goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging open communication, creative brainstorming, and cross-departmental partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Officer to develop and implement creative strategies that align with the organization’s business objectives across all marketing and communications channels.
- Stay ahead of healthcare marketing trends, including mobile health apps, telehealth promotion, and digital storytelling to ensure JVCHC’s presence is relevant and innovative.
- Develop creative strategies to communicate the value of JVCHC’s healthcare services to patients, donors, and the broader community.
- Design campaigns and outreach materials that foster a deeper connection with the local community, addressing key health concerns and highlighting how JVCHC contributes to the community's well-being.
- Collaborate with medical staff to produce patient-friendly educational content that helps demystify healthcare procedures, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Work closely with the leadership team on public relations strategies, creating compelling visuals and narratives for press releases, public service announcements, and community engagement initiatives.
- Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, from concept to execution, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
- Partner with external agencies, vendors, and contractors when necessary to execute larger campaigns or specialized projects.
- Oversee the creative budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high-quality output.
- Ensure all creative outputs, from graphics to written content, reflect the cultural values and sensitivities of JVCHC’s diverse patient base.
- Implement strategies to ensure materials are accessible to non-English speaking or low-literacy populations, leveraging translation services and simplified messaging where appropriate.
- Develop campaigns that target underrepresented communities, addressing healthcare disparities and promoting the accessibility of JVCHC’s services.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, or related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a creative leadership role, ideally within a marketing, media, advertising, or similar communications agency.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Proven experience managing a creative team and delivering innovative content across multiple platforms (digital, print, video,).
- Ability to manage and meet creative deadlines.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, digital design tools, content management systems, and automated marketing software.
- Experience utilizing project management tools to manage creative projects and processes.
- Strong writing, graphic design, videography, copywriting, and relations skills.
- Strong understanding of branding, visual identity, and storytelling.
- Experience working with culturally diverse teams and target audiences.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and defend creative ideas to executive leadership.
- Ability to present creative ideas to key stakeholders in a clear, comprehensive, and compelling way.
- Knowledge of marketing trends and engagement strategies.
- Develop and manage creative budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in marketing and design.
- Ensure that all creative assets meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
- Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail and hands-on project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of creative production management experience
