Executive Assistant, Community Development
The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
As the Executive Assistant, Community Development, you will provide high-level, executive-level support to the Senior Vice President of Chesapeake Community Development and Executive Director of Chesapeake Neighbors. The Executive Assistant will manage all calendaring and special projects as assigned and provide various administrative support. The Executive Assistant will assist in tracking and monitoring a variety of compliance matters and support audits, contract compliance tasks, and projects.
This position will require you to schedule a wide variety of often complex appointments and meetings, be responsible for all aspects of meeting management around scheduling, preparing materials, handling logistics, taking minutes, and doing follow-up. You will manage expense reporting, approve PTO and timesheets, support asset management activities for Chesapeake Neighbors, and assist in the coordination and project management of real estate and community development initiatives. Coordinating and communicating with external clients, vendors, and contractors is an essential function of the role, as is composing executive-level correspondence, presentations, and spreadsheets.
The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement, take initiative, and think creatively to improve processes and drive results. This role requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of experience supporting executive-level leaders, preferably in a housing or community development organization.
