An international mining company is seeking a Chief Environmental Engineer to join it's team in Silver City, NM. Based at one of their major mining sites you will be responsible for a leading a team of environmental professionals and ensuring environmental compliance and excellence, across all operations.

The Role:
- Influences all jobsite employees to drive forward the environmental performance and results.
- Act as Project Manager on complex environmental projects (air quality compliance, permitting and remediation)
- Supports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits, requests and submissions for the site.
- Monitors changes to all environmental regulations pertaining to their area and reviews recommendations for incorporation into environmental management systems and standards in a timely manner.
- Accountable for managing site environmental documentation to include program design, environmental data collection and posting, training documentation, and environmental KPI reports
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science or related discipline (required)
- A minimum of 7 years working in an environmental compliance role within a similar industry e.g. mining, heavy manufacturing or construction industries (Required)
- Comfortable working in a mine setting and being able to meet the physical demands.
- Lives near Silver City, NM and happy travelling to the site location daily
