Overview: The Supervisor Cardiac Cath Lab guides team members that use imaging technology to view the arteries and check how well blood is flowing to and from the heart. This provides the care team with information to help diagnose and treat blockages and other problems in the arteries often without patients needing to undergo surgery. As a lead, this job also ensures that clinical operations meet regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities: Assesses cardiac catheterization lab activities for quality, reviewing reports for internal committees and external compliance with regulatory agencies to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Ensures that the cardiac catheterization lab meets all compliance and regulatory requirements from internal and external agencies such as The Joint Commission.
Analyzes requirements for capital equipment and assists in the preparation of justifications and recommendations.
Fosters collaboration across departments, establishing strong clinical connections and physician-hospital relationships that enhance the overall patient experience and organizational effectiveness.
Ensures consistent compliance with regulatory standards to safeguard patient well-being and maintain institutional integrity.
Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Allied Health Profession, or obtain within 4 years of hire
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Must hold one of the following: Graduate from one or more of the following programs required: Nursing, Radiology Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or a sanctioned Cardiovascular Technology Program (this requirement may be waived for individuals hired into and currently working in Cone Health?s Cardiac Catheterization Lab prior to this being a hiring requirement in 2008. If waived, must have a High School Diploma or equivalent); Credentialed as Paramedic in NC.
