Job Summary:
As a Concrete Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of concrete construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules, including timelines, resource allocation, and sequencing of construction activities.
- Site Supervision: Oversee all on-site concrete construction activities, including formwork, reinforcement, concrete placement, and finishing.
- Quality Control: Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards. Implement quality control measures and inspections to maintain high-quality standards.
- Safety Management: Prioritize safety on the job site and implement safety protocols and training programs. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety hazards.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with subcontractors, including selection, negotiation, and oversight of their work.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Prepare and submit accurate cost reports.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve construction issues and challenges in a timely and effective manner.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of construction workers and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
