Responsibilities:
- Assist senior attorneys across a broad spectrum of legal matters.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and compile relevant information.
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and appeals.
- Develop arguments and represent clients in civil, criminal, or administrative litigation.
- Participate in meetings, negotiations, and due diligence processes.
- Assist in preparation of cases for court.
- Comply with all legal standards and protocols, ensuring risks are mitigated.
- Prepare and submit legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents for internal and client use.
- Stay updated about current legislation and changes in the legal industry.
- Use excellent negotiation skills to resolve matters in favor of clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar.
- Prior experience as a junior attorney or similar role is preferred.
- Demonstrable interest in various legal practice areas.
- In-depth knowledge of legal research and procedures.
- Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, legal research software, etc.)
- Able to work autonomously and professionally.
