Job Summary:
Senior Civil Designer will lead the design and drafting of civil engineering projects, utilizing advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D software to develop grading, drainage, and infrastructure designs for both commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil design, an appetite for growth, and strong character traits such as grit, resourcefulness, and integrity. This role will be located in North Fort Worth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow work directives, assist in organizing projects effectively, and communicate clearly to foster a collaborative environment with survey and engineering team members.
- Review and interpret basic and routine documents, including deeds, plats, sketches, as-built drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create grading designs and plans, street plans and profiles, drainage area maps, storm sewer plans and profiles, and water and sanitary sewer plans and profiles.
- Develop schematic, design development, and final construction drawings as needed.
- Prepare construction drawings for commercial and residential development, zoning exhibits, and concept plans.
- Mark up and create annotations on existing PDF documents using Adobe/Bluebeam.
- Provide training and mentorship to new CAD technicians.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering land development, commercial and residential.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Certifications:
- Certification in Civil 3D or related CAD software or an Associates Degree in related field strongly preferred.
