Title: Project Manager – Home Repair and Energy Efficiency
Location: 660 Plaza Drive Detroit MI USA 48226 (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months contract on W2 (possible extension)
Pay-rate: $42 an hour on W2
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion home repair and energy efficiency projects for our Income Qualified programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for community service.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with contractors and program team to ensure project objectives are met.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources. Identify and address opportunities for work efficiencies.
Quality Control: Ensure all construction work meets industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with program team, contractors, and customers. Provide regular project updates and address any concerns or issues.
Risk Management and Safety: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure safety protocols are followed on all job sites.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, timelines, and progress reports. Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in low-income housing or home repair projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations and energy efficiency standards.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Commitment to community service and improving living conditions for low-income families.
