We have an immediate need for a Regulatory Manager. The Regulatory Manager position is based out of our Mesa, AZ office and will report to the Senior Director of Project Management Office. This role implements policies and procedures to ensure product compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Act as a lead on behalf of company compliance opinions within industry regulatory agencies, promoting company's position on plumbing standards task groups, involving company stakeholders for input on task group changes, avoiding onerous standards that adversely affect Sloan product compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, interpret and supply frequent written update (minimum quarterly) on federal, state, and local regulations that affect Sloan product, both existing and potential future product.
- Offer advice on interpreted standards to functional managers seeking product compliance direction.
- Participation on plumbing industry roundtables, plumbing standards writing committees, and tasks groups within main committees (and task groups) such as ASSE 1001, ASSE 1002, ASSE1037, ASME A112.16.1, ASME A112.19.2, ASME A112.19.5, ASME A112.19.14, and ASME A112.19.19. 100% WRITTEN report outs on committee activities; reports to be original content which address Sloan impact of activities and assessment risks of same.
- Implement written process for creating company position on affected code changes and obtain company stakeholder consensus on those changes.
- Crosstrain others for back filling on such industry participation.
- Respond to support of field installation issues, such as Made in U.S.A. attest documents, code violations and field inspector notices.
- Create, maintain, and revision control user accessible library of FAQs based upon such field support activities.
- Maintain sustained timely responses and be able to create metrics to monitor various response categories.
- Be responsible for written QUARTERLY Regulatory newsletter distribution addressing product compliance activities, operations compliance, and industry sustainability. Include things to know, FAQ news, & future/upcoming regulatory events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- 4-6 years' experience on industry standards writing committees, petitioning standards bodies for company clarification on standards compliance.
- Must have awareness of ANSI accreditation and standards development procedural steps.
- Must display good aptitude in understanding highly technical readings, above average verbal and written communication skills along with proven ability to debate on technical merits.
- Ability to work as part of a team, acquire consensus among disparate team members, and formulate company positions of proposed regulatory standards.
- Strong Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships among industry stakeholders promulgating regulatory changes.
