Sr Technical Business Analyst / Manager - Asset Management / Investment Management
New York City - Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days remotely
The Application Development team at our leading Asset Management client is responsible for crafting technical solutions through a mix of third-party and custom-built software to meet business and functional needs. The team consists of developers, data analysts, testers, and architects. The Equity Trading and Compliance, Finance vertical delivers technology services supporting equity investment processes, regulatory reporting, and financial functions across various departments like Finance, Risk, and HR.
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst/Manager, your role will focus on analyzing and modeling both new and existing business processes. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert on key applications, overseeing tasks like functional documentation, software testing, and providing expert application support. This position also requires leadership in cross-departmental projects and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met. You may also supervise and train other team members, ensuring seamless collaboration between business and technology units.
Key qualifications include a degree in Business Administration or Information Technology, with at least 10 years of technical business analysis experience in asset management. You must be proficient with equity order management systems, SQL, and have experience supporting investment compliance activities. Additionally, familiarity with writing detailed specifications, executing test plans, and balancing multiple project priorities is essential, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
