IT Support Technician
Monday-Friday 8-5
Duties and responsibilities:
- Serving as the initial point of contact for IT support within the organization.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems through repair or replacement.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices.
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation.
- Assisting call-ins or live chat with technical difficulties.
- Assisting staff with hardware and software challenges.
- Maintaining computer systems and other technologies in a business setting.
- Perform tests on new hardware and software.
- Oversee security and privacy of computer systems.
- Keep records and logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
- Detect computer shortages and submit for approval.
- Work and collaborate with other IT Technicians to install hardware and troubleshoot computer issues.
- Respond to IT questions from company employees and updating malware protection devices to prevent viruses or computer hacking.
- Detect٫ diagnose and troubleshoot to problems٫ related to hardware٫ software or organizational activities.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field, preferred.
- 2-5 years IT experience or a similar role.
- Experience troubleshooting systems.
- Skilled in database programming and software installation.
- Proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiar with a range of software and hardware.
- Willing to travel to other locations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
