Amason & Associates, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Projects include institutional, commercial, and light-industrial. Our Company believes our project managers should live within a reasonable distance to the projects they manage. We prioritize a work-life balance, so overnight travel is held to an absolute minimum.
Responsibilities
- Assist or lead in the development of estimates, take-offs, and project buy-out
- Serve as the main point-of-contact for the Owner and Design Team
- Identify and implement contract deliverables
- Develop site staging, logistic, and phasing plans with field superintendents
- Maintain change-order log and cost tracking for projects
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses
- Assist in administering and issuing of subcontracts and purchase orders
- Work with field superintendent to develop and maintain project schedules
- Create quality control plans and ensure implementation
- Assist in reviewing project submittals, including shop drawings, to ensure compliance with project plans
- Coordinate with field superintendent and subcontractors to develop dynamic staffing plans based on schedule and availability during all phases of the project
- Assist in preparing pay applications
- Lead the development of the project schedule and manage updates
- Coordinate and supervise regulator inspections
- Manage job cost reporting monthly with management and accounting staff
- Lead monthly OAC and internal status meetings
- Monitor material and equipment costs to adhere to project budgets
- Oversee project close-out procedures and documentation
- Coach and support project team members with assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in construction sciences, engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ construction experience as a Project Manager
- Knowledge of construction scheduling software
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Skilled in conflict resolution
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities/resources
- Strong technical background in construction software applications
- Desire to advance and sustain long-term growth in the organization
