Responsibilities:
Sunrise is looking for an individual to lead an Ethanol and biofuels brokerage desk. You will be responsible for building business contacts and developing revenue streams for a new desk within the company. Candidates must have the ability to analyze and forecast commodity market trends, advise clients on opportunities, make informed decisions and provide appropriate market commentary.
Duties and responsibilities:
On board institutional, hedge fund, cta, bank, market maker, trade house client business.
Ability to successfully leverage existing relationships and cultivate new business opportunities
Manage client relationships focused on futures/options and other related P/L drivers
Provide relevant market analysis to support hedging and/or trading decisions for clients
Make the business case for expanding the desk and leveraging cross selling opportunities
Qualifications:
3-5 years of related experience in ethanol and biofuels, renewables
Series 3/7 licensed or willing to obtain
Transferable book of business
Good knowledge of futures and options markets
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
High work ethic and superior attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to compose market and commodity reports
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Must be analytical, a problem solver, and customer service oriented
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 USD
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000.The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
