Monitor, maintain, and ensure the VDI environment is operational, and assist customers, team members, and leadership with issues and requests, troubleshoot systems, resolve repair tickets, etc., as needed.
o Works with VDI and other IT team members to maintain Horizon VDI v 7+, Connection servers, DEM, and AppVolumes.
o Track and document system changes, in accordance with business requirements; develops, writes, updates, and maintains system controls and desk procedures
o Responsible for the configuration of assigned applications
o Reviewing and updating process and procedure documentation as needed.
o Review and provide input for IT projects related to Horizon View best practices
o Plan, install, configure, maintain, and repair virtual desktop infrastructure and related applications. Build, update, deploy, and manage VDI desktop images, snapshots, and pools.
o Develop and maintain resource pools, user entitlements, and application policies
o Researches and troubleshoots to resolve break-fix issues
o Evaluates and recommends enhancements (research, analysis to see if needed, collaborates with core team to test, and implement)
o Manage all virtual desktop systems and devices to maintain security and patch compliance
o Work with application owners and vendors to maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot applications deployed to View VDI users
o Supports strategic initiatives of the organization
o Maintains professional development
o Participates in a rotating 24x7 on-call
o Performs other duties as assigned
