POSITION OVERVIEW
Kovitz is seeking an intern for the summer 2025 to support our Wealth Management and Operations teams. KIG’s program ensures that interns develop a good understanding of our firm’s culture and services through direct training, “Lunch & Learn” sessions, internal meetings and social events. The intern will be required to make one formal Capstone presentation to the KIG team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- The ideal candidate is an undergraduate “rising junior or senior” pursuing a degree in business/finance/accounting/economics with an interest or experience in Wealth Management
- Minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Interns will focus on a variety of tasks to support the firm such as preparing reports for client meetings, administrative tasks, some marketing support, portfolio management, and technology.
- Candidates should be organized and have a knack for communication both written and verbal. We look for motivated self-starters with a team-oriented mentality that find opportunities to collaborate and can work with and through others.
INTERN LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Gain a general understanding of different roles available in wealth management, including investments, financial planning, marketing, operations, and client service.
- Become familiar with Kovitz strategies and client offerings.
- Be able to prepare and comprehend reports generated for clients.
- Understand all aspects of client meeting preparation.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Organize meeting and marketing materials for prospect meetings.
- Create client reports for client meetings.
- Scanning, filing, and data entry of client information.
- Prepare ad hoc PowerPoint presentations.
- Assist operations team on specific tasks or projects.
