POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst role is responsible for direct expenses (related to Outbound/Returns Shipping and Contact Center Operations) for all Full Beauty brands. The typical tasks include (a) preparing annual budget, (b) preparing monthly journal entries, (c) reporting actual results, (d) analyzing, and explaining expense variances to budget and prior years, (e) reviewing, reporting, and analyzing operational metrics. In addition to expense management, the Analyst will perform operational analysis to identify efficiency and/or cost savings opportunities. Finally, as applicable the Analyst will support business cases (cost/benefit analysis and ROI calculations) related to Shipping and Contact Center operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Periodic (weekly and/or monthly) reporting of expenses for shipping and contact center operations
- Periodic (weekly and/or monthly) reporting of operational metrics for shipping (e.g., shipping expense per package, weight per package, etc.) and contact center operations (e.g., cost per call, call abandon rate, call to order conversion, etc.)
- Analyzing expenses and operational metrics against expectations (budget or projection) and prior year(s). Explaining the variances and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and/or save expenses
- Preparing the annual budget for shipping expense and contact center operations, and working with brand finance teams to provide them budget assumptions
- Perform month-end close duties with proper accrual accounting and preparation of journal entries for the General Ledger as well as monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Develop financial models and cost projections
- Special projects and analysis as required by the needs of the business
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years financial analysis and/or accounting experience
- Advanced Microsoft office (primarily Excel) skills
- Attention to detail
- Prior experience with major financial reporting systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and successfully prioritize to deliver results and meet deadlines
- Create reports from separate data sources accurately
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or cohesively with teams and all levels within the organization
- Exceptional research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify key business drivers of financial variances
