The IP Docketing Clerk role involves maintaining, updating, and managing the firm’s intellectual property (IP) docketing systems (FoundationIP and WebTMS). This role includes tracking deadlines for patents and trademarks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and assisting IP paralegals and attorneys.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and update docket records for U.S. and foreign patents, design patents, design registrations, trademarks, and other IP matters.
- Ensure all IP deadlines are properly docketed, tracked, and met.
- Input and maintain accurate records in the IP management systems (FoundationIP and WebTMS).
- Communicate and coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients regarding U.S. and foreign IP filing deadlines and status.
- Organize and save IP-related documents, such as patent applications, office actions, and foreign filings to appropriate document management folders.
- Prepare reports detailing upcoming deadlines and case statuses for attorneys and clients.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations for patent and trademark filings.

Qualifying Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in IP docketing.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation; familiarity with domestic and international intellectual property protocols.
- Proficiency in IP docketing software (FoundationIP and WebTMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
