Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in project scheduling, progress measurement, and change management.
- Oversee contractor project control functions, focusing on scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Advise contractors on the adequacy of project control tools, reports, and schedules.
- Develop and maintain Level 1 and Level 2 integrated project schedules.
- Review and endorse schedule and progress baselines and forecasts prepared by contractors.
- Advise the Project Controls Lead and Project Leadership Team on schedule risks and recommend corrective actions or mitigations for adverse trends.
- Review and validate schedule corrective actions and recovery plans.
- Assess project changes for scheduling impact and ensure changes are reflected in overall schedule stewardship and reporting.
- Monitor and report schedule implications of changes, including the contractor’s schedule basis for change proposals.
- Ensure contractor scheduling practices comply with project coordination procedures.
- Lead contractors in developing contract control schedules and milestones.
- Oversee subcontractor schedule integration and progress measurement.
- Monitor contractor performance against approved baseline schedules, identify issues, and assist with corrective actions or recovery plans.
- Analyze progress, trends, and forecasts to support management decision-making.
- Participate in contract bid evaluations for schedule assessments.
- Ensure contractor schedules align with external requirements like permits and regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Experience in Project Controls, Project Services, or Planning/Scheduling.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera Project Planner (P6).
