Job Summary:
ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tool Crib Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our tool crib operations. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient management of inventory, compliance with safety standards, and the effective leadership of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the tool crib, maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the crib is organized and well-stocked to support manufacturing needs.
- Manage stock levels by setting reorder points, conducting cycle counts, and removing obsolete inventory to ensure operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Act as the primary contact for vendor-managed inventory, addressing quality issues promptly and approving purchase requests in alignment with organizational needs.
- Direct and train crib attendants, fostering a safe and efficient working environment while promoting best practices in tool management.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, guaranteeing that your team has access to the right tools and equipment required for safe operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with 5 years of experience in manufacturing, OR a High School Diploma with 10 years of related manufacturing and tool crib management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, utilize formulas, and generate insightful reports.
- Familiarity with various tools and expendable tooling, such as drill bits and other manufacturing equipment, is essential.
- Experience with inventory management software to effectively track and control stock levels.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capability to interact directly with vendors and negotiate effectively. Proven time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- 1-2 years of experience managing employees in a manufacturing setting.
- Background in purchasing within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating knowledge of inventory control and management practices.

Estimate salary range for this role: $88,200 to $127,300 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
