This position involves overseeing services provided to adults and ensuring programs meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role reports to the Executive Director and requires working closely with various agencies, staff, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Knowledge: Stay informed about regulations related to Medicaid Waiver, state disability services, TennCare, licensing, and vocational rehabilitation.
- Policy Development: Assist in creating and updating policies and procedures for adult services.
- Agency Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for adult services, coordinating with regional offices, TennCare, and vocational agencies.
- Service Coordination: Ensure that services align with care plans and regulations, and that records are accurate.
- Quality Oversight: Monitor service planning to make sure it meets clients' needs and is well-documented.
- Collaboration: Work with quality assurance staff to ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
- Program Management: Screen applicants for program vacancies and manage transition plans.
- Incident Management: Lead the incident management process, including setting up a committee and addressing issues as they arise.
- Community Involvement: Represent the organization at events and participate in public relations activities.
- Budgeting: Help manage program budgets and assist in planning related to services and staffing.
- Supervision: Directly supervise program managers, assist with hiring, and provide support to team leaders.
- Emergency Response: Be available to handle emergency calls outside regular business hours.
- Team Participation: Participate as a member of the executive management team and support person-centered practices.
- Program Visits: Visit adult day programs at least once a month to ensure quality and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5+ years of experience in program management
- Experience in leadership/supervisory position
- In-depth knowledge of regulations for services for people with disabilities
