The Quality Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to Quality Control to assure the quality and integrity of Company products. This position visually inspects measures, and tests product to a standard or specification and documents accept/reject parts and assemblies.
- Verifies/Inspects Quality of mechanical/electronic parts/assemblies from suppliers to a standard (reads/interprets blueprints).
- Interacts with suppliers to resolve quality issues quickly.
- Documents and maintains Quality records.
- Utilizes measurement equipment, order Inspection Gages, and coordinates/performs Calibration of equipment.
- Charts and Posts monthly Yield to Failure Rate Charts.
- Identifies and executes solutions for improvements in quality, productivity, product cost, and safety.
- Communicates non-conforming Quality issues with Purchasing, Engineering, and Suppliers.
- Submits Supplier Corrective Actions to suppliers.
- Inputs data into Quality Data Base on Non-conforming Receiving and Failure Analysis of Components
- Performs inspection/analysis of production rejects/failures and customer returns providing feedback and taking the necessary corrective action.
- Performs inventory management – Kanban, cycle counting, and physical inventory.
- Models/follows Safety practices and policies
- Perform inspections across all stages of production.
- Performs site calibration activities and recordkeeping.
- Perform AQL incoming inspection
- Document and communicate non-conformance to suppliers
- Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.
