Responsibilities:
- Perform testing on the design and operating effectiveness of 3120 Supervisory Controls including assessing whether legal, regulatory, and internal policy outcomes are met by the firm’s Broker-Dealer legal entities and affiliates
- Assist the development of test scripts and thematic financial regulation-related test programs that accurately identify risk and lead to fact-based assessments of controls and outcomes
- Report on and draft written findings that clearly communicate the risk and impact of control gaps and negotiate risk remediation plans with stakeholders
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders in the Front Office, Operations, and other Control Functions
- Collaborate with Compliance Advisory and Central Compliance to support the development of an annual, risk-based Testing Plan
- Contribute to the reporting for required Annual Compliance filings including but not limited to the firm’s BDs, FCMs, SEFs and other regulated entities.
- Support continuous enhancement of the Testing Program by identifying and implementing improvements
- Assist the Management Team with other projects, as necessary
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Internal Audit, Controls Testing team or experience assessing or testing the design and operating effectiveness of Supervision -related controls
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate effectively across a diverse range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience analyzing risks relevant to complex business processes, data, or systems with a check and challenge mindset
- Ability to work independently to manage projects and deliverables to completion
- Must have a working knowledge or understanding of the control functions of a Broker Dealer and/or similar entities i.e. FCM or SEF
- Familiar with CFTC, SEC, FINRA and NFA Rules
- Thorough understanding of the 3120 requirements
- Series 7, 24, 99 helpful
- 1-3 years industry experience
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Hybrid Working - We are currently operating a hybrid model for our shared services employees (including this role). We anticipate continuing these arrangements for the foreseeable future with periodic review.
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
