Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Metal Estimator
Adecco has partnered with our great client to find them a skilled structural STEEL estimator. Our client values quality, safety, and innovative design, and they aim to expand our team with a talented professional who has a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in delivering accurate and competitive bids. They offer an amazing work/life opportunity! This is a hybrid position with five weeks of vacation, one week of sick pay, one week paid during "shut down", excellent benefits, bonus eligible, flexible work schedule, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contract documents thoroughly.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, detailers, and subcontractors to ensure precision in estimates and bid proposals.
- Maintain up-to-date pricing databases for materials and labor.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
- Assist in creating proposals and presentations for clients.
Qualifications:
- Background in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of estimating experience specifically in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices.
