Position Overview:
The Loan Officer Assistant provides support to United Trust Bank mortgage loan officers in their daily duties to increase loan production levels. The Loan Officer Assistant works directly with UTB customers, loan officers, and processors to ensure a positive customer experience and facilitate timely loan closings.
Position Pay - $20-$25 and hour + bonus.
This position is located in Perkasie, PA and not remote.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing mortgage loan application and documentation, which may include phone and computer work, printing, copying, scanning, emailing, overnighting documents, etc.
- Review mortgage loan disclosure packages and deliver them to the borrower.
- Create rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages and deliver them to the borrower.
- Review documents and entire loan files and work to prevent problems by highlighting deficiencies and then notifying the mortgage loan officer and/or loan processor.
- Clarify/correct information and obtain additional information, as necessary, via phone, email, etc.
- General clerical and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors, as needed.
- Work with management to provide support in various stages and areas of lending and processing as needed.
- Assist in managing a pipeline consisting of conventional FHA, VA, USDA, and Non QM loans.
- Deliver appraisals and/or property valuations to the borrower and retrieve proof of receipt.
Required Experience /Knowledge/Education/Training:
- An individual must be able to properly perform each key function to do this job successfully.
- Ability to deliver polite, educated, and professional customer service over the phone as well as in person.
- Ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks; knowledge of general banking regulations and procedures.
- Strong/advanced computer abilities, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook, as well as internet navigation, social media, and CRM systems.
- Ability to take on responsibility, show initiative, use sound judgment, and make and act on decisions.
- Knowledge of lending terminology and the ability to speak with borrowers regarding lending requirements.
- Prior experience with client relationships and the ability to cultivate new relationships.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
- Encompass experience a plus.
- Prefer 2 years’ experience as licensed LO or high volume processor
- High school diploma.
