CSG Talent have partnered with a key client in the food manufacturing industry who are looking to hire a Senior Food Scientist to play a key role in product development strategies.
We are keen to bring on an individual with a strong understanding of flavorings to compliment the existing team skill sets. You will also focus on shelf life, sensory & other application related work.
Please note that this position is based in California (2 hours outside of LA - think nice weather without the crazy cost of living!). We are able to support relocation candidates & welcome applications from individuals currently based in other states outside of California.
Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned projects in the areas of ingredients & flavor testing and product-process development improvement from concept to scale up.
- Lead exploring novel and alternate ingredients, flavors and technologies in assigned areas.
- Responsible for providing product samples for cross-functional evaluation and for customers.
- Lead related applications work as well as analytical work, shelf life and sensory studies
Requirements:
- Existing end to end product development experience within food manufacturing settings with a strong understanding of flavorings (essential)
- Understanding an experience relating to sensory application work as well as shelf like & wider product development study processes.
- BS/MS/PhD in Food Science.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of food - flavorings, processes, ingredients, chemistry, rheology,
- functionalities, shelf life, sensory & analyses, and safety.
