Position Overview:
As a Travel Superintendent, you will be an essential part of the project management team, providing leadership and direction to field crews, subcontractors, and vendors on assigned projects. This role requires extensive travel throughout the assigned region, offering the opportunity to work on high-profile projects that contribute to the company’s continued success and reputation.
What You Will Do:
- Provide direct leadership and supervision to field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to drive project success.
- Develop and implement detailed construction schedules, ensuring strict adherence to project deadlines.
- Manage project budgets and track costs, proactively addressing any potential deviations.
- Oversee all aspects of quality control and ensure compliance with safety standards on project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any safety hazards or quality issues promptly.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and productivity.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on project progress, safety, and financials.
- Travel extensively to project sites throughout the assigned region.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Travel Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software (e.g., Procore).
- Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel extensively as required.
